New Year's Resolutions?

Hi all,

Happy New Year!

I hope you had a restful break over the Christmas period, whatever you were up to.

I just thought we could use this post to submit any New Year's resolutions we may have, especially since this is the first proper week back for a lot of students. It will a great idea to spark some inspiration for those struggling with what to come up with for this year.

I'll go first:

My resolution will be to read more books than I did last year to log onto my Good Reads!

Can't wait to hear yours!

Happy new year!

My resolution is to learn to drive! If I have not got my full licence by end of year, I know I have failed. Nice and easy to track!

Hi there!

I thought I would join in with this! My new years resolutions are to:

Get a 2:1 or a first in my degree.

Try and write all of my lecture notes after the lectures!

Try and do 10,000 steps a day.

I hope eveyrone has a happy new year!

Hiya!

I'd love to add mine to the thread!

Be healthier and more active

Start assignments earlier while maintaining a strong level of effort

Save more money

Hope everyone had a great break! Sending encouragement, especially to those in their final stretch like me in third year keep going!

Hi!

Hope you are doing great! One of my biggest new years resolutions is to complete 1 hour of diss work everyday! I have managed to stick to this mostly and am definitley starting to feel a lot more focused and prepared going to a new semester:smile:) learning to drive is also another large one of mine - have my theory test booked for the end of January and have started up driving lessons again!!

Hi

What a great idea!

My New Year's resolution is to try to learn new skills for example - try to learn a new language. I am trying to learn a few new words of Welsh every day.

I hope this helps,

Hi Everybody!

Some really great resolutions on here so far. Mine for this year are...

Be braver and doubt myself less - this could help a lot of people, particularly those currently at uni!

Try not to think too far ahead, rather, focus on what is important here and now

Show more gratitude and try not to take what I have for granted

Best wishes!

Happy New Year!

My new years resolutions are ... to grow in confidence and independence, to take care of my mental health, and to do more of the things and hobbies I enjoy!
