Living with grandparents and applying for student finance

I’m worried about how to apply for SFE for 2025/26 as my situation is a bit weird.

I live with my grandparents and they live off their pensions. My step dad isn’t living with us but he comes to stay for a periods of time when he comes back home from abroad, so I’m not entirely sure how to write this into my application. I’m only estranged from my birth mother but I still talk to my step dad.

Does anyone know what I would classify as? And how I would apply for SFE? Please and thank you

Thank you. In this case, we would require only your step-parent to support your application if this is the only parent you have contact with. They can support your application online once you have submitted your application and they would be notified to do so. Thanks, David
