Second degree funding for BSc Counselling Psychology

Hello,

I’m looking for some guidance on whether or not I can get a tuition fee loan for a BSc in counselling psychology. The open university website suggests yes, but it’s difficult to find guidance. I have an undergrad in philosophy (2015) and just completed my MSc in Psychology thinking that would be my route into counselling, alas it doesn’t actually seem to help (practically) with the career path I’d like to switch to.

Any guidance is greatly appreciated.

A BSc won't qualify you as a counsellor either, you need a masters in a relevant disciple depending on what sort of counselling you want to do

Yeah as you have already been told, this degree would be fairly pointless. If you want to be a counsellor you should do an accredited course (search BACP). This wont be funded by student finance though.
