How did it go? My interview is tomorrow and I'm so stressed. I've planned answers and done a few hypothetical scenarios and numeracy but not sure how it'll go.

it was acc so chill, she asked me a few questions first, (tell me about yourself, why pharmacy, why dmu?), then she asked about the standards, then 5 really easy math questions, then one scenario- my interview was only 13 minutes and they emailed me back with an offer like 6 hours later

Hiya!

It is great to hear that you have applied to study Pharmacy with us at DMU! 🙂

As you’ve applied for a professional course regulated and accredited by the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC), the interview process is designed to ensure candidates meet the standards for Pharmacy Professionals.

Before your interview, you’ll be asked to watch a short video from the GPhC, which outlines the Standards for Pharmacy Professionals. Following this, you’ll be asked one or more questions relating to its content.

The interview itself will last between 15 and 30 minutes. During this time the interviewer will ask you some questions about yourself, and why you are interested in Pharmacy. You will then be asked some numeracy questions (there is no calculator allowed, but you can use pen and paper) and finally you will be presented with a hypothetical senario to assess your values and judgement. At the end of the interview, you will have the opportunity to ask any questions that you may have about the course and the university

I hope this helps clarify the process! Below is a useful link to an interview and advice document, please feel free to have a look and if you have any other questions or need further assistance, feel free to ask 🙂

Why ?

Think about it.
Hi everyone!

It's fantastic to hear that so many of you have applied for Pharmacy at DMU—congratulations to those who have already passed their interviews, that’s amazing! 🎉

As mentioned earlier, I’ve shared details on what to expect during your interview, along with a helpful guide to support you.

Just a quick reminder, as someone has pointed out, there are regulations around sharing very specific interview details. It wouldn’t be fair if some applicants had prior knowledge of the questions and answers. Plus, interviewers have hundreds of potential questions to choose from, and the interview is designed to assess your abilities.

For the numeracy section, calculators aren’t allowed, but you can use pen and paper. You might also find some practice questions online if you’d like to prepare in advance.

Best of luck to everyone! 😊
