University of Manchester Accommodation

Hi all I’ve received an offer of UoM and I’m now applying for accom but I’m not sure which to apply to? Definitely want en-suite and a good social life so I’m applying to Unsworth but I’m not sure what else! Help / your experiences are appreciated

Hey I'm in the same boat as you so I've been looking at accom recommendations on youtube- theres a lot of ranking vids on there. I'm looking for an unsuite with good social life too but thought unsworth was quite far? Anyway what others did you consider?

Hey are you guys 18? Because I tried to apply for accommodation but they said because I’m not 18 until after 1 January 2025 that I’m restricted to certain accommodation
Honestly depends on what kind of person you are, but if you're looking to make the most out of your uni experience. Pick Fallowfield. As long as you're in Fallow you're all good. But if you really want the BEST, pick Richmond Park. Big up Richy P, best accom in the whole of manny. Don't pick Unsworth unless you're a neek, and don't pick Oak unless you actually cannot afford anything else because you'll just be surrounded my well-off kids cosplaying as the working class.

I'm 18- you can only apply for accommodation for 25/26 from the 22nd of Jan (it says this on the website) in your offer letter it says something about under 18s accepting offers so you might want to read that before doing accom stuff

Hi there, the Victoria park halls are quieter but do have a decent party life aswell, especially if you apply for Canterbury court because that’s en suite and they have st Anselm hall just across the road who run loads and loads of events and have a cute underground bar. To be honest, any of the en-suite fallowfield halls will also be practically on top of Owen’s park and oak house so you will still be surrounded by parties 🙂 I hope that helps a bit feel free to ask me any more questions

Yeah sorry I’m 18 as well but this was my mistake, they’d linked an accommodation page to my email and I assumed they wanted me to apply

I’m 18 yes but I was mistaken as we can’t apply until the end of Jan
