College subjects for diagnostic radiography

I’m in year 12 doing A level bio and psychology and BTEC level 3 extended certificate in health and social care, can I apply for Diagnostic radiography at unis with these subjects?

Based on the qualification, you could apply to Brighton Uni!
Our Diagnostic Radiography course requires 112 UCAS Tariff points with an B grade in an A Level Science subject.
Some fun facts about our course:

Approved by the College of Radiographers and the Health and Care Professions Council.

Brighton is in the UK top 20% for graduate earnings in allied health, three years after graduating Longitudinal Education Outcomes 2024.

I would recommend checking universities websites for their entry requirements or contacting the unis enquiry team to get more clarification. I also would highly recommend making sure the uni is accredited/approved by the appropriate systems

Check the entry requirements for a range of different Unis - they will all be different. If they don't mention the combination you are doing (A levels + BTEC) just email their admissions team and ask - don't guess.

Your subjects will be fine for the majority of DR courses as they usually require one science at A level. To search for approved courses and check the requirements, use the NHS course finder:
