resources for gcse stats? err the standard deviation isn't deviating standardly??

Hiya, for reference I took statistics thinking I was some maths nerd. Turns out I just like maths(probably not), nothing more. Statistics every Monday is rubbish, and I hate how soi far half of it is gcse maths and the other half gibberish. I don't really have any revision resources, and I'm taking it in y10 this school year like most other schools. My teacher has high hopes -a 9- for maths, FM, and stats, but I literally won't if I don't have any revision resources!! I would ask my teacher, but I don't like them, and I feel it's mutual..

Sorry for that rant, but does anyone know what to revise GCSE Statistics with? Not neccessarily for now, because the only scarring thing I didn't immediately know was the standard deviation alternative formula for something something. But it would be handy for later. I don't know which exam board I am either, but maybe resources/websites cover both? Idk I'm the one asking here so I'll take just about anything.

Hiya, I took gcse stats back in year 11 (I'm in year 13 now). Because it was pretty new gcse, I basically had to sit there with the specification and just memorise it. I got a nine, but it was still the biggest waste of time. If you want some good resources you should try the stats section of AS maths. Don't be afraid to ask your teacher by the way, I know that it might seem like they dont like you, but it's like they say closed mouths don't get fed.

I hadn't thought of looking at ks5 resources, but that seems like a good idea generally, there's probably some past questions as a resource too. I should probably ask them soon, I don't want to have to search a bunch later when I'm stressing over my mocks. Thanks for the reply !!

In year 10, my teacher gave us a past paper to do each week for homework, from around January until the exams in June. Consistency is key. As for learning the material, the CGP statistics revision and question books were great.

Doing one each week sounds like a really good idea! I guess in my head it was sort of like 'if I don't know all the content, is it really worth doing a paper with things I don't know?' but I've done some questions and the mark scheme seems to be quite specific with the type of wording they want. I do Psychology too, so there is nice overlap but that can make it confusing on how to answer for each subject.

Thanks for the reply, I appreciate it

The mark scheme sure is specific, like when you get downmarked for not saying 'all' of the population is crazy.
