Playing red Rover

My six and eight year old sisters and their friends have recently really been into the game called red rover, they really want me and a few of my friends to play on a team with them. We are in 10th grade. Before you say it, yes we are aware of what this game is and are going to play with them on a even level playing field. That’s the whole point of me asking this question. I had a very very long talk with my friends before we even thought about saying yes to this and they are willing to adapt the game.

How can we play red Rover completely fair? They want to play a kids team and a team with me and my friends. If we play normally will the kids be able to break our link? And will the kids be able to hold us back when we try to break their link? If this game needed to be brought down to their level how can we do that? They really want us to play and I want to make this game 100% on an even level playing field with them.

Red Rover is a savage game that can lead to serious injury or death.

Person sprints at full speed into a link that they misjudge and bounce off in a way where their feet are taken from under them and they flip backwards and bang the back of their head on the ground.

2 people in the chain suffer broken bones / damaged ligaments in their fingers / hands / wrists.

Regardless of whether anyone dies or gets injured, it's inevitable that pain will be involved for 3 people every time a round is played competitively. Making it an unpleasant game for people that aren't masochists or sadists.

Play something else. There's loads of other fun games and sports that are less savage.
Interesting life you lead, being in 10th grade yourself yet having 7 and 4 year old daughters, and also 6 and 8 year old sisters.
