i think it was fine but that just means the grade boundaries are gonna be high😭 i showed that the power was 88MW and found the effiency to be 0.26
angle for the resultnat force scale diagram was 30 degrees, dont remember the force tho. i found the distance of the escape thing 20 something. 150kg mass of people. 8.4 m/s something for the final speed of skier. 2. sth x10^-4 for the drag force

for the efficiency i got 0.57 (Because useful is 88x4 since there were 4 and total is: wasted + useful which is 88x4) so im not sure which is correct. the resultant force angle was 150 im pretty sure, technically that is the angle to the horizontal. I get why you answered 30 degress but im pretty sure thats what they meant by the angle to the horizontal idk tho. The force was 36N, and the distance for the resistive force was 23m, the mass is 150, the skier tbh i dont remember what i did but i got 11ms-1, and dont remember the drag force. Btw i think this wasnt easier than may 2024 paper so i think grade boudaries would be 60-61 for an A max, it wasnt hard tho so idk. What did you get for the rice portion question?

uhhh i tried find the weight of 1 portion first and then find the weight of X portions and divide it by one portion, i got like 8 portions😭 pretty sure its wrong idk why tho

lmao i got 8 portions too, kept staring at the question for like 3 minutes cause it didnt make any sense how the answer would be 8 i thought it would at least be close to 3, but ended up going with it. the weight i found was 0.352 im pretty sure you found the same weight then

omggg so does that mean there is a chance we got it right?😭😭 would we at least get SOME marks? my friend got 3.5 tho which makes a lot more sense

me and all of the other students find the exam really long i did the last two question less than 10 mins also couldnt do the projectile and rice portion questions if i had +20 mins i would do the rice question but generally it wasnt that hard the problem was time ı got around 50-52 in my mocks but hopefully ı get around 45 ın todays exam

yeah there is some people acc got the same answer, i never heard of anyone getting 3.5 though, but some people got 2.3 i hope 8 was right

I also put 57.8% for efficiency but I get how 26% could also be right idk

no cuz it said 7 cm closer so u had to do 25 cm - 7cm then find the weight, i got 8 first then i realised

i got 2. something because for the distamce u shouldve used 25-7 not 7 cm

It went well to be honest. Only thing I don't think I did well was the question on tension where the submarine is submerged under water. Then the others were fine. I got an efficiency of 27 because you use your answer in part a and multiply it by 4 to find input energy then subtract the wasted energy to find energy output, then use your formula for efficiency. But I'm pretty sure the grade boundaires are going to be ridiculously high.

You already have the input energy😭. You were meant to multiply your answer from part a by 4, then find output energy subtracting the energy wasted by the input energy.

How many marks is the efficiency question cant remeber if it was 2 or 3 cuz if i put 57% will i lose 1 or 2 marks

does anyone rmb that question asking about the launching projectiles at different angles and reaching a maximum distance? It was 4 marks. Can somebody like explain that question i was lost in that question.

i was just like the time to reach the max horozntal distance is 2usin(theta)/g, so horozontal distance travvled is sm like u^2sin(2*theta)/g so sin(2*theta) increas from 0 to 45 (max at 45) and then decreases from 45 to 90

I said that it will stop increasing past 45 degrees because thats when vertical and horizontal components are equal but idk

I got 24 m/s for the final speed of the skier 😭

what did people say for the deceleration of the truck and car in the escape lane

I said that there would be less decceleration because there is less resistive force. I wrote that it would take the car a greater distance to stop for the time.
