If you're still debating, I applied to Leeds, Sheffield, City St George's, Newcastle, and Leeds Trinity for journalism. I'm debating between Leeds and Sheffield right now - which one are you leaning towards and why?

Hi, honestly for the longest time Sheffield has always been my number one, the course they provide is so respected by the journalism industry and the way they teach i believe is amazing, their facilities such as the news rooms, podcast studios and computer rooms are outstanding and well advanced with all new and upgraded technology. Outside the degree i personally prefer the city and the accommodation i really liked with a cheaper price to others like leeds. I also attended the subject talk on one of the open days and they completely sold it to me they offer so many experiences and have a wide range of connections. This also doesn’t matter to many but journalism is quite high of league tables for journalism and holds great employability rates.

However leeds is my 2nd option so i would also say their facilities are amazing and the campus is gorgeous similarly the experience they provided and the degree are also amazing. To me it just comes down to the city, grade boundaries, cost, and where i see myself truly.

If you’re still unsure what i recommend is to do a in-depth look at the courses and option modules both unis provide and then look at grade boundaries, location, accom (if moving from home) and make your decision from there, if you have any more questions let me know and i’ll try my best to help !
