Second Degree Funding

I would like to study a second degree as i would like to change career I'm thinking law or games programming do either of these allow second degree funding and how do i apply for this?
Hi there. If you already how an equivalent level qualification the general rule is that you would not be funded for another degree.

There are some courses that are exceptions to this rule, you can have a look at the list here: https://www.heinfo.slc.co.uk/resources/guidance/courses-management-service-user-guide/eligibility/equivalent-or-lower-qualification-elq-exceptions/?alttemplate=printchapter&id=1454

There are different ones for full time and part time. Typically law isn't considered and we generally need the full name of the course and university to check the course. Thanks,Leah.

hi, thanks that does help.

I just had a few follow on questions on london met they have games programming on a list of eligible part time course https://www.londonmet.ac.uk/applying/funding-your-studies/loans/part-time-loan/. So i'd assume games programming would generally qualify for second degree funding for part time, does this mean all part time games programming courses are eligible for second degree funding or only specific ones and if specific ones do you have a list, as this would help when making or considering where to apply.

Similarly you said law typically isn't considered is there any law course that is eligible for second degree funding at all?

Thanks
Hi there. For the part time games programming, it depends on if they contain the Common Aggregation Hierarchy 'CAH11 for computing', as listed in the document. We need to check the course on our system to make sure it included this.

Unfortunately, I can't click on any links.

If you have a few in mind, you can list the full name here and the course length/course code and I can check them.

Apologies for the bad choice of wording, Law courses on their own are not considered exception courses. Thanks, Leah.
