How long do offers usually take

To preface i’m very impatient, i only submitted my ucas yesterday but since i submitted it i’ve been feeling so much anxiety and constantly checking my emails. I applied to QUB, Ulster university, Aberdeen, Liverpool hope and northumbria all for Economics/economics and finance. Does anyone have any advice for how long i should be waiting or any advice on how to not be extremely stressed whilst waiting
Hey, so this may not be overly helpful but it really depends on the uni. They have so many applications to consider that sometimes it can take a while! Mine all came within 10 days with the first coming in 4 days after submitting. I know people who submitted ages ago and haven’t heard back yet, equally, I know someone who got an offer two hours after sending it! The time it takes doesn’t reflect on you, it may be that they have allocated times to look at applications. They may also, as mentioned, have absolutely loads of people apply.

Another thing I’d say is, don’t be disheartened if you get a rejection. What is meant for you won’t pass by you. Again, they have so many applications that it’s impossible to accept everyone.

It is horrid waiting but be kind to yourself, focus on a levels as that is what will get you there anyway! And know that nothing you do can change the outcome now, so worrying about something you can’t control is pointless. You can control how well you do in your exams, or how you treat people, and how you look after yourself- those are the things to focus on.

Good luck, wishing you the best.

You could be waiting until APRIL - so try not to keep checking your phone, it will drive you nuts.

Hi! It’s completely normal to feel anxious after submitting your application, but try not to worry too much. At Ulster University, we aim to process applications as quickly as possible, but the time frame can vary depending on the course and volume of applications. You should hear back in a few weeks, and we’ll keep you updated along the way:smile:
Hi,

It's normal to be nervous but try to remember how many people are also applying to these same courses at the same universities - there's a lot of applications to get through and they are looked at in a random order so you just have to wait for your turn. Universities have until April to respond with offers so I would try to occupy yourself with other things like your studies or hobbies so you are not constantly worrying about this.

Like the above user mentioned, please don't be disheartened if you do receive a rejection as this will ultimately lead to you being in a position that you were meant to be in and things will eventually work out.

Hopefully you get a response soon and if not, remember to take it easy and accept the randomised processing of applications.

Good luck!
