Hi there, I'm applying to ucas this week (extremely late I know) but I plan to apply to the likes of Brunel and City, university of london. My grades are BCC and I'm applying for a course in Computer Science. I'm already extremely disadvantaged in terms of how late I'm sending my application, but would I still be in with a good chance of getting an offer?

Hi there!
I don't think you're too late, even so – it’s great that you’re taking the initiative now! Brunel is known for being supportive of applicants and takes a holistic view when considering applications.
I know that Brunel are holding on online virtual undergrad open day tomorrow so you can book on to have a look at what lifes like at Brunel here - https://goingto.brunel.ac.uk/form/UGVOD2025
Make sure your personal statement is strong and highlights your passion for Computer Science. If you’ve done any coding projects or online courses talk about those. Admissions teams love to see genuine interest and enthusiasm.
It’s also a good idea to contact Brunel’s admissions office directly. They’ll be able to tell you if there are still spaces available and might even give you tips on strengthening your application. Sometimes, universities are more flexible when they still have spots to fill.
Even if you feel slightly disadvantaged due to timing, remember that Brunel has a fantastic reputation for Computer Science, and it’s worth giving it a shot. The worst they can say is no, but you won’t know unless you apply.
