A levels and BTEC

Hi I am a student that is currently studying GCSE and I am trying to apply to colleges. I don't necessarily have a favourite subject but my strongest subject is maths. I want to go into finance. Is it possible if I can do A level maths and economics and study a BTEC in business at the same time?

I tried to apply to a campus at capital city college(CCC) and their college requires at least 3 A levels to do an application form. But I thought 1 BTEC is worth 3 A levels so can I still apply to that college?

If I don't get the grades I need to study A level maths what else can I look to do?

My main question is can you study A levels and BTEC at the same time?

A BTEC is equal to one A level, not three (three is T levels, not BTEC).

You can study both BTECs and A levels at the same time at many colleges (I don't know about specifics for each college), but some universities (if that's what you want to do) require 3 A levels explicitly (not including BTECs). I think some degree apprenticeships also require 3 A levels/BTECs, but there's even more variety there.

So if I want to go to capital city college and try to apply for it, when it says minimum of 3 A levels to do the application form and I choose 2 A levels and a BTEC in business, would I be able to submit an application because you said 1 BTEC is equal to 1 A level which would technically mean I am studying 3 A levels?

BTEC level 3 national extended diploma is worth 3 a levels.

But the other BTEC grades worth less.

Yes, you can study A-levels and bTEC at the same time but it depends on the college or sixth form.

You aren't studying three A levels though as although a BTEC is equivalent it is not the same as an A Level. If the college you are applying to explicitly says you can only apply with three A level subjects then no, you cannot apply for a BTEC. However check with the college and check over where you found that information as i've never heard of many colleges that don't allow BTECs to be studied.
