Is UX and web design at mmu a good course?

I’m a first year who is thinking about transferring over to UX web design course at mmu from chemistry as I want to pursue a career in tech instead. My question is, is this course worth it, are the job prospects and career opportunities good and are the job roles similar to job roles other graduates from software engineering for example go into?

Hiya! I hope you're well, I'm Charlotte a GD student from Norwich Uni Arts.

Usually job opportunities after various courses can be found via uni websites/ prospectuses. For example, our UX course and what it can lead to in the future in terms of careers can be found here: https://norwichuni.ac.uk/study-at-norwich/courses/bsc-hons-user-experience-design/

I hope this helps a little, despite being a different uni.

Hey!

It's great to hear you're interested in studying BSc (Hons) Web and UX Design at Man Met. You can find information about the course, like course information, entry requirements and career prospects here.

Can I confirm that you're currently at Man Met studying Chemistry or are you at another uni? If you're at Man Met already I recommend getting in touch with the Student Hub who'll give you information on how to transfer courses for Sep 2025, and they might even be able to put you in touch with a tutor on the course so you can ask any questions you might have.

I hope this helps!

Chloe😀
