Uni of York, or Leeds for Geography?

Hi! I've applied to do geography at both Leeds and York, I'd like my firm choice to be Leeds because it's always been the Uni ive wanted to go to.
I'm applying to York because I have a lower offer, but I didn't like the uni as much as Leeds. I was basically wondering if anyone who went to York found it more boring at times? as its a smaller city to Leeds, do you think there's less to do? I'm only wondering because if I don't get the grades for Leeds, then I'd probably apply to York and I don't want to feel like I'm missing out on anything! Thankyou!

Hi,

I went to York and really enjoyed my experience. I feel like there's actually so much going on in the city. I found it easy to make friends and we didn't find it hard to find things to do - there's something for everyone. Also - Leeds is a direct train away (20 mins) so you can easily have day trips/evenings out there 🙂

You should also research the course modules and see what might interest you more since you’ll be going to lectures and doing lots of independent study/reading for 3+ years.
