will i be able to appeal for fee status or change it for next year for UCL?

I have just found out that i am actually infact eligible for home fee status as my father has settled status in uk (indefinite leave to remain). And i have lived in uk for more than 3 years before the start of the first academic year.
However, at the time when i received my offer i was assessed as international student as my dad hasn’t gotten his ilr yet. Me and my mum are both on tier two dependent visa, we were supposed to apply for ilr with him at the same time. But my mum wasn’t able to pass her english language test therefore can’t apply for ilr, causing me not being able to apply for it since i need both parents applying for ilr as a child of tier 2 dependent visa.
Hence all the research i did was before my dad getting his ilr in august. And i didn’t look into it much after since i assumed i will be paying international fee because i dont have settled status.
But i just did more research as my parents were arguing about our financial states again and found out that i am actually eligible for home status but the appeal period for ucl is three months after the final decision regarding fee status. And the website says in order to change fee status me or my family members would have to become a uk citizen. In this case it would’ve been my dad since hes the only one eligible but hes very much against it.
In my case would i still be able to get reassessed since i have passed the three months appeal. or would i be able to change it for next year without my dad becoming uk citizen.

If you started last September then it’s likely too late to get reassessed for the current academic year. But there is no harm in getting it reviewed now ahead of year 2.

If you are starting this september 2025 , then i dont see why the university will have a problem because i think as long as you inform them of the change of status before the start of your course in september, usually september 1st ,they can change it.

Also check the UKCISA website for some guidelines and also an advice line. I think as long as you meet all the criteria for a home student the uni should not have a problem with the appeal thing and just contact them

No I started in September 2024, but it’s okay I’ve already appealed for it since when I started my fee status was actually undetermined instead of overseas, and I’ve already succeeded and got refunded as well
