Congratulations on getting through. Are the AC's for software engineering for both Nuclear and Aero ?

it’s common sense really, nothing to worry about. It’s like tables we used to do back in year 6. Is more how u present yourself. Practice with your family member or friends. Trust in yourself too -biggest factor for anything in life. Hope this helps.

Yh, did the assessment centre like 2 weeks ago. Ended on 26th and they’ve chosen the people they want pretty much. That’s the department i got the offer in yesterday!

Well done to those with offers! I emailed asking for an update earlier and was told they're still reviewing my application and if I'm selected the AC won't be till April- its strange how spread out they are

We asked at our assessment centre (nuclear engineering) how many places but they said they couldn’t tell us that info. 🤷

Niiice, we’re both in nuclear engineering! I’m based in derby already so I can’t help with accommodation options. When did u do the assessment centre and AM or PM?

Yeah, I've had to start looking at accommodation options. I got an offer for nuclear engineering at Derby too! Looking at flat shares and stuff atm.

I emailed them yesterday about my application (Materials Engineering) and they said if I am selected, the AC will take place in April, don't know if it's the same for general engineering.

I’ve got an offer for the nuclear engineering degree apprenticeship. I haven’t looked into it a lot but the University of Derby says apprentices can stay in halls (£6,000-£8,000) but I’m not sure if that would work well based on distance, cost and holidays.

some people do stay in halls (especially if your course is with derby uni it is a good option) but also there's a lot of private rented accommodation and house shares in derby too, i'd have a look on rightmove for 1-2 bedroom flats and house shares id look on spareroom. also at some point (usually after all the offers have gone out) they'll set up a massive group chat for you all so you can find house mates easily and opportunities for house shares
