ucl psychology msci

hi,
i wanted to ask my chances of getting into msci psychology at ucl as i am predicted an A*AA in psychology, biology and chemistry with gcses of 9998887765.
i got a 6 in maths, im just in for the entry requirements so i am unsure whether i have any chances as ucl tend to love applicants with higher requirements
my personal statement i would say is quite good, i've got a lot of super curricular in it (books, lectures and courses) and i volunteer at my local hospital, additionally i've participated in a cambridge biology challenge ( we had to create projects based off biology questions to answer them)
does anyone have similar stats that got into this course?

thank you so much, hopefully!!! still waiting on an offer unfortunately

when did you apply?! don't worry as for similar courses to psych they take a bit longer cause it's more popular

like i'm pretty sure as long as you meet the minimum grade requirements for gcses they care more about ur predicts , reference and ps

i just had the offer holders open day today and they said that the average predicted were around 2-3a*s. i’ve had friends with all 9s and 3a* rejected because the course is stupidly competitive. i applied to both the bsc and msci with 4a* predicted and all 9/8 at gcse but was rejected for the msci, so id recommend maybe applying to the bsc as it’s less competitive. 🙂 i’d really focus on getting your predicted grades up. also if you’re eligible for contextual you probably have a really good shot! good luck!)

Hi! I applied for bsc too, with 4a* predicted and 9/8s for igcse. Got an offer from all other unis except ucl (I'm still waiting). Do you think this means I'm rejected, or they're just facing some delays?

it wouldn’t make sense for them to send out extra offers after all the info for offer holders had been given out imo.. the way they addressed us it seemed like they had given out the offers already. i might be wrong though, and i’d email for more clarification!

i think it also depends on if you’re international or home student, because there’s one virtual offer holder day on the 15th, so it would make sense for them to give out home students offers before International. (Maybe it’s just me deluding because I’m international ☹️ )

i’m also international and they sent the international offer holders link on the same day :frown:( again, i could be wrong! it is also possible that they are waiting to see who firms/insured their offers so that they can gauge how many more offers they need to send. i wouldn’t completely rule it out but also remain realistic at this point. good luck!

I'm international too (with no decision yet). But in another post, someone said the lecturer at UCL mentioned that all offers are already sent out
