has anyone else applying to medicine had no offers yet? i've interviewed at Dundee and Aberdeen but not heard back, and I haven't heard back at all from Glasgow or Bristol. I also haven't heard back for my 5th choice (immunology at Glasgow) but i'm hoping that's because the deadline for application isn't until the end of jan. i'm english, predicted AAA and UCAT 2960 B1 if that makes any difference. thanks :smile:

Most people wont have offeres yet dw - well done on getting 2 interviews tho cause thats already so great!!

Idk about the others but aberdeen have stated they will release offers at the end of march :smile:

i have only had one interview so far but ive got 3 more in the next few weeks, its probably since interviews are still ongoing that you havent heard back about them

Hi, this is the University of Aberdeen rep account. At this stage it's very normal to not have heard back and almost everyone is in the same boat as you with waiting for a response. You'll hopefully have been told an idea of when you would here back during the interview, but you can have a look at the application timeline we're working on here: https://www.abdn.ac.uk/smmsn/undergraduate/medicine/application-process/
I hope this helps and wish you all the best with your applications! You've done all you can at this stage, and while it's easier said than done to not worry about it try not to dwell on it too much.

Hi, so to my understanding the medical admissions team are hoping to get all of our offers sent out in the next week. Please be assured that not all offers have gone out yet but I don't have an exact timeline to get you at this time. I should also mention that the uni has encouraged people not to travel in today on account of Storm Éowyn and so we may not be able to get as much work done today as we would like. I hope this helps a little in the meantime!

Aberdeen started giving out conditional offers from yesterday afternoon. I read some came out today & are expected to continue into next week.

hey, well done on your 2 interviews so far! as a gap year student i have so many friends that didn't hear back until around april. some universities take ages, i know places like kings are notorious for taking so long. i have 1 med offer so far, i only did the interview last week but they give early offers to high scorers and give the rest of the offers in march. not all unis operate like this (i literally have an offer from one, done my interview for another and haven't heard back from 2 others), and the ones who have given out offers so far are the ones who do, as january is still really early; i'd say don't worry too much and try not to stress about it (it's hard, i know). but good luck and wishing you the best!

What were your gcse grades if you don’t mind me asking? I’m planning on applying to Aberdeen for medicine as well from England and it would be good to know some more stats of successful applicants from England! Thanks so much xx
