A level maths sequences and series help (again)

For some reason, I am really struggling with this topic. I will definitely come back to it later, but I need to move on to another after today. I'm struggling with this question. I particularly struggle with understanding how to work out the limits

The nth term of a sequence is Un. The sequence is defined by Un+1=pUn+q, where p and q are constants.

The first two terms of the sequence are given by u1=96 and u2=72.

The limit of Un as n tends to infinity is 24.

Show that p=2/3

please help!!

form an eqn using the formula they gave u, with the 2 values, u1 and u2. for the other eqn, knowing that sum to infinity is 24, U(n+1) and Un will approach the same value of 24 as n tends to infinity. using this, form the 2nd eqn and solve simultaneously.

Okay, thank you, I'll give that a try
