question fir those who sat gcses and got all 9s

hi is it possible to get straight 9s after being predicted very ass grades, currently i got predicted

biology 9
chemistry 9
physics 9
maths 9

englishes 6s
geograohy 7
compsci 7
music 8

the thing is i havent really properly tried for anything, esp englishes. i only cram stidy before topic tests. after mocks, dyt its possible to get all 9s if i acc try? how much effort woukd i need to put in like for eg how many hours everyday - my iq is 120 btw
Firstly, those are strong predicted grades 🙂 You should be proud of yourself for them!
I think you’ve basically identified the main problems yourself. You dont try hard enough to get the grades you’re pushing for and you cram rather than spacing out your revision (your words not mine). So id suggest that if you start putting the work in then you could certainly improve your grades, and some of them may become 9s.
My advice would be to print out or buy a calendar and write in all the dates of tests, mocks and exams that you have. Then schedule yourself in time to study- try to start a week before for class tests, 2 weeks before for mocks and then maybe a month or so before your first gcse.
I found that I could study for 2 hours per day every week day and then usually 4 hours on Sunday. I usually focused on 1-3 subjects per day and planned in advance what i would get done so less time was wasted! When my test schedule got hectic (such as during mocks or the exam season) i would get a notepad and write out what topics i would need to have covered by when and then worked backward.
I didn’t end up with all 9s (got 9999998886A in the end- 6 in Art) but im really happy with what i got. At the end of the day, as long as you try your hardest you dont need straight 9s.
If you want tips on any of your subjects (other than comp sci, music and geog) then id be happy to try and answer questions! Best of luck with your studies

hi!
i took triple science, eng lit, eng lang, french, geography, music, comp sci, maths and chinese and got 99999999887.
all 9s is definitely possible - I can see all the subjects I worked hard for I was well into the grade 9 boundary, but the ones I didn't (like you, eng lang) I fell into a 7.
all 9s is definitely possible - just remember to target the subjects you DON'T like studying for and the weaker ones you got in mocks.

i got a 9 in french! - look online for past paper questions, quizlet for vocab and grammar. I remember making this random wheel generator thing that would give me a verb and one of the tenses and I would conjugate it and mark the answers.

I did Spanish but the resources i used can be for either.
I used StudySmarter flashcards for vocab (you can import these easily from quizlet or find flashcards on the app)
ActiveLearn is fantastic for question practice
For grammar i recommend the Studio grammar textbook

At gcse i used it for Spanish, English literature, history, politics, and sciences to a lesser extent. At a level im using it for biology and physics and some terms in maths. It works really well for all subjects really- i especially like how you can ai generate quizzes and how organised it is 🙂
