Hi,
I have become estranged from my family and I have had to find emergency accommodation that I would have to pay for.
I was wondering if I could tell SFE my circumstances have changed and receive more maintenance as it says I’m moving at home. Or would I have to wait to the next academic year to update this?

You can notify SFE that you’re living away from home for terms 2 and 3.
If you have evidence (a letter from a professional confirming the situation) that you are irreconcilably estranged then SFE may be willing to reassess your household income too.

Hi there,

You can amend your application to 'living away from home' if you had previously been assessed as 'living with parents'. Had you also applied for the maximum amount of funding based on the household income? Thanks, Jason
