EPQ topic question/idea help

I have been figuring out for a while which is the best topic to do for my EPQ. Initially, I wanted it to be based on AI, tech history or geo but a lot of people are using this already and I switched my idea, so I am doing it on video games, film/media and entertainment based now instead. As our teacher had left out of nowhere, then we had two temp/supply teachers who have left now as well.

I am still trying to figure out the best EPQ topic possible, and my project proposal form was due in October, but the teacher had left, so me and my class have not made much progress on it yet really either.

I am trying to brainstorm, research and check different websites to figure out the best topic idea for my EPQ, so I am struggling with this EPQ. Also my college has not specified when the deadines are for the EPQ forms and logs, and what we are completing so I checked myself on the Pearson website, and I am quite lost any suggestions, help or advice will be much appreciated.

You really do need a project supervisor, especially in the early stages of the EPQ when the skills need to be developed.. There's too much to go into detail here unfortunately.

The first thing you need is filling out a PPF (project proposal form).

I urge you to speak to your head of year/director of post-16 in your sixth form.

It was more gaining inspirations from titles rather than the actual projects - I have no access to the contents.

BTEC IT shouldn't change anything, just make sure whatever you pick doesn't overlap with the subject content.

Also, just because loads of people are doing particular things, it doesn't mean you can't as well. Loads of people did it on "mental health" in my Sixth Form at the time and they all had unique takes and topics.

This isn't a PhD. Yes, do something you enjoy, but make sure you've got enough material available to talk about.
