Does leaving a good school leave a bad impression?

If a student is at a well-known private school for their secondary school but then decides to move to a grammar school with no specific reason, would a university find this suspicious or ask about it? I want to be sure since this is for Sixth Form and I don't want to mess anything up right before A-levels.

Assuming this is talking about moving schools for Sixth Form, definitely not! People move schools for A levels all the time. Grammar schools are excellent, and have no tuition fee attached to them so why would it be suspicious to move?

Good luck for GCSEs if you’re taking them this year.

You will find there will be a lot of people leaving for grammar and state sixth form colleges this year due to 20% VAT

I'm 13 so I have a while till GCSEs but the stress is kicking in already 😓
But thank you for the luck!!
Yes, just to reiterate that unis wouldn’t care about this. They’d only query it if the dates didn’t make sense.

I’m sorry to hear that you’re already stressed, please do talk to your pastoral team/parents or anyone else you trust if it’s overwhelming! It’s not worth struggling through alone.

Aw thank you so much, yes I definitely will talk to teachers about it since we get wayy more homework that we physically can finish after coming home at 6!! By the way, do you have any major exams coming up? If so, good luck with them!

Oof that workload sounds bad, especially at 13! I’ve got A levels this year, thank you : )
