Will a 2:2 in Biochemistry at a russel group uni (leeds) get me a good job?

It’s looking like I’ll end up getting a 2:2 in my bachelors and I’m worried that no employer will want me.

I’m not interested in lab roles
More interested in medical writing, bioinformatics etc any other fields also interest me but I keep looking at job postings and nearly everyone wants a 2.1 minimum. Will I have a hard time finding a job with a 2:2?

I feel that you've answered your "Will I have a hard time finding a job with a 2:2?" question yourself when you've written, "I keep looking at job postings and nearly everyone wants a 2.1 minimum."

The key word here is "nearly". So you are not excluded from the job market, but you will find it harder to secure your first job. After then, it'll get easier as your experience will become more relevant than your degree.

Ahh okay thank you very much! Would it be easy to get entry level positions/internships though with a 2:2 so that I can gain experience

Second this, once you have work experience employers care less about your grades.

That said if you're having a hard time finding a job you may have to settle for something that's not quite right in order to get the experience for the right job if that makes sense? I did an HND then my first job was a desk based job at a pharmaceutical company until I got the experience, then I changed to a technician job which was brilliant until I went back to uni.

For your case I'd look at entry level QA or Clinical roles in pharmaceutical companies, QA especially is lacking staff in much of the UK so you're likely to find a role. Clinical especially may come in handy for medical writing
