It depends on how passionate about the subject you are. A-level Comp-sci goes over a lot of GCSE content and builds on it. If you are passionate about the subject I would say go for it. Also I highly recommend watching Craig and Dave when studying comp-sci, they do in depth videos on each topic.

Thats entirely a decision for your school and the entry requirements that they set for each A level subject.
