Attendance and sixth form applications - URGENT

Hello,
I’m extremely stressed, please help me out!

If I have strong mock exam results and a strong set of extracurricular activities but if my high school attendance is really poor, would I still be able to get an offer from a grammar sixth form?

Also, if on GCSE results day I achieve really good grades etc, but then my attended was poor in high school, would the grammar sixth forms still offer me a place?

It would depend on the sixth form - each grammar sixth form is different and has their own requirements. Is there an opportunity to put extenuating circumstances on your application?

I understand, thank you for your reply.

And, I don’t think there’s any reason to put the extenuating circumstances on my application, although it has been mentioned that if you have low attendance, this may be discussed at the interview stage.

Also, is there still a chance for me to get accepted though?

And if I achieve great results on results day and wish to be enrolled to a sixth form (without applying beforehand or if I got rejected before) then would they look at my attendance?

I don't know - I think your best bet is to directly contact the sixth forms you are applying to and explain your situation.
