English NEA Word count??

I'm a bit worried im way over the English language word count for my NEA but everything iv'e written is relevant. btw, im about 3000 words in and that's just my first draft. Is that bad?

wouldn’t worry too much! my first draft was over the limit too. if you can’t see anything that you could cut out, ask your teachers to look over it - whilst they can’t mark anything of explicitly say “get rid of this” etc, they are allowed to ask “guiding questions” (as we were told) and might be able to steer you in the right direction. you’ll probably find that there’s more concise ways to write what you have currently and will probably get it sorted in the next draft(s) :smile:
