SFE-Living with Sibling

Hi,
At 16 I moved to the UK alone after studying abroad for a large majority of my life.I did my 2 year of Alevels and even took a year off so I could have lived in the UK for 3 years by the time I started my university course.
During my two years of Alevels I stayed at a family friends house and now I'm going to be staying with my sister till my course starts in September.
So I was wondering if for my household income I use my sister salary for it since I do not live with my parents.
And since July last year I've been receiving payments form universal credit to support myselfy financially and I wanted to know if that would make a d difference.
Thanks

Hi jojosbizzrd,

We aren't able to use anyone else's household income other than your parents or adoptive parents.

Are you estranged from your parents or living financially independently?

Thanks, Clare

Hi,I'm very sorry for the late reply.
I'm financially dependent on my sister as I can't support my self independently. She pays for housing, food and other basics.

Hi there,

Your sponsor cannot be your sister. Are you estranged from your parents or are you still in contact? You could not be classed as independent yourself if you have not been self sufficient for 3 years prior to the 1st day of the 1st academic year for your course.

Thanks, Drew

I'm still in contact with them but they live abroad.

Hi there,

Even if they live abroad they would need to support your application. When does your course start?

Thanks, Drew

Hi there,

So once the applications open you will need to get a PFF2 form to your sponsors for them to complete. They can then send it back to you and it can be uploaded from your online account. They will also need to provide there tax information evidence for the 2023/24 tax year. In the UK we have a P60 and it would be the equivalent evidence from there country.

Thanks, Drew
