Access to HE providers

Hi

I'm looking at doing Access to HE diploma in science with an aim to go onto to doing an environmental science degree. Has anyone got any experience cambridgeonlineeducation.com or Lifelong Learning College?

I've had a look at the science course with distance learning centre but it focuses mainly on medical science. would Unis hold that against me if i was applying for other science related degrees.

Thanks in advance

In terms of which Access course to study, have a look at the entry requirements on the env science course page for the unis you would apply to for your degree. If it is not clear which Access courses they accpet, then email the admissions departments.

Hi Pete,

I am currently studying an Access to HE course in Medical Science. From what I’m aware of, a change to HE science course was made recently in which there used to be a Science course and a separate medical access course. These have now been combined, or this is what our tutors told us at the start of the course. Uni’s mainly look at what modules you’ve studied, they often specify the number of bio, chem and physics modules they are looking for. I’ve applied for a Biomedical science degree and been accepted. As long as you’ve studied the desired modules needed you should have no issue going into a range of science based degrees.
