Help What should I pick for my as level??

I am a bit stuck on what to pick, for context I’m in year 11 and have decided I will pick maths bio chem for alevels (I want to persue medicine) however for my school they have requested I pick a fourth subject which I will later drop at the end of year12. After many thoughts I’m still indecisive on what to pick, I am predicted all 9s in everything (except English lit 😭) and I’ve narrowed my as levels to 3 options geography, economics physics.

Im leaning towards physics rn because I love it in gcse however I am aware that it’s very hard for a levels(I’ve heard the horror stories) but would this have a negative impact on my grades (even if I’m dropping it at the end of year 12) ??

I’m only really considering geography because I feel like it would be an easier options compared to the other two (economics and physics ) and I am good at it rn in gcse. However I’m not really a fan of the subject in general(I find it quite boring) and I would hate to do a subject I dislike for an entire year before dropping.

I don’t have much context for economics except that it sounds thrilling for me as I’d be trying something new and perhaps I need respite from subjects I’ve already done for years previously like geography and physics (and I’m good at maths)

Despite all this thinking I’m still unsure, II’d just hate to pick a subject I end up hating for a levels and have to suffer through it for an entire year before dropping, it could hinder the results of my other grades + I know a levels is quite hard already so this would just be unnecessary stress

So if anyone has been in a similar position please send help and advice😭!!

If you love physics and are confident in your abilities, go for it—it complements your A-levels well, even if it’s tough. If you dislike geography, don’t pick it; you’ll dread the year. Economics offers variety and might be a refreshing change. Pick the one you’ll enjoy and manage best alongside your core subjects.

I mean I do Physics and what I will say is, Its going to be difficult in the beginning but if your willing to put work in (like quite a bit) Eventually it gets better. Tbh go with your heart because trust me, the more you like the subject the better you'll do.
