Termination of position on university course

I was a second year student on the Adult Nursing Degree when I failed an assignment, resulting in my position on the course being ‘terminated’. Whilst going through the appeal process, I unfortunately did not have a formal diagnosis of ADHD, which was my main argument. However, 18 months later, I have finally been given the formal diagnosis.
Is there any way that I can receive any sort of compensation, ie student loan being scrapped, or is there anything I can do to fight for my position back on the course?
I worked extremely hard on this course, completing almost 2000 unpaid hours of the required 2300. I was extremely devastated at the result of this, and have now been told by other universities that they will not accept my credits or hours from my previous university.
It would feel like a massive kick in the teeth having to pay for 3 more years of student loan especially since it was not my choice to leave. I am already in £45,000 worth of debt without even having a degree.

Have you contacted your original uni and asked if you can be reconsidered in light of your diagnosis?

Have you considered midwifery or an AHP course instead? They are considered exception courses by SFE so you could receive funding for another degree.
