Oxford law rejection

I'm absolutely gutted. I just got a rejection to read law and I'm perplexed given how well I thought my interview had gone. I feel so devastated, I do not know whether to reject my other offers (KCL and UCL so far) and try again next year.

Hey there! I completely understand feeling disappointed (I was also rejected from Oxford for law but pre-interview). I think you should already know how much of an achievement it is to have gotten the interview. And there are so many incredible applicants that apply to Oxford and so few places so even if you're excellent, sometimes there's nothing you can do. Also one interview does not measure how smart your are. I would personally advise that you hold on to the offers you have until you get your A level results back and then if you get good grades you can reconsider doing a gap year to try again and if you don't get such good grades but meet your condition then you should probably go to UCL or Kings. By the way, it's also an incredible achievement to have gotten into UCL and Kings, they're both excellent universities with a very food reputation both in the UK and internationally and UCL is even first (above oxbridge in a few rankings I've looked at). If you're still considering a gap year I would consider whether you would be disappointed if you did a gap year and got rejected from Oxford again next year, would you feel like you waisted a year? Also do you have plans to do something if you choose to do a gap year?

I feel you I thought my interviews went amazing but I was rejected too but do not worry it was really competitive this year and CONGRATS ON UCL AND KCL, in my opinion you should just go to one of them as they are amazing russel group unis and then if you still really want to go to Oxford you should apply for masters as it is less competitive.

got rejected as well today for a different subject😢 - I would say accept your offers ( only if you want to go there) because they’re amazing and then wait till results day because you’d only want to reapply if you have the grades I’m assuming ?? Alsooooo your feeling about reapplying might change between now and then. I’m kinda thinking about reapplying as well though. This sounds kind of ridiculous but everything happens for a reason , imagibe you do go to UCL or KCL ans meet some of your best friends in life. I completely undetand how you feel bc I thought my interviews went okay ans kinda feel like my dream has been crushed a little but all we can do is move forward . I’ve told myself I’ll decide on results day if I do want to reapply. But if they cabt recognise our worth do they really deserve the time !! no hate to them thoygu because so many worthy applicants apply it’s so difficult . Sorry if this is long - wishing you all the best xx

Did you do work experience in a barristers chambers or solicitors firm? 😧
