(I've moved your post to a new thread as the user you quoted hasn't been active on the forum for some time.)

You have until July to make your firm and insurance decisions so don't make them until you have been to offer-holders days and had another look at both unis. In terms of employment, the NHS won't care where you study and all DR degrees are held to the same standards by the HCPC. You need to choose the uni that you would be happy living at for three years. Compare accommodation costs. Check where the placements are and if they are easily accessible. Email the DR departments at both unis and ask for copies of this year's timetables - they can vary considerably with some unis holding placements through most of the summer hols. Then have a look at the societies on offer and the social life options in the cities. But don't make your decision until at least April.

Most unis will arrange offer-holder days for student that have been given offers in the Spring term. This gives students another chance to visit the department and to chat to staff and students in detail. In terms of accommodation, unis should not pressure students to make decisions based on accommodation availability. If you receive emails from any of your choices implying that this is the case, you can report them to UCAS as they are breaking UCAS business rules ([email protected]).

okk that’s perfect I didn’t even know about this great then so would I go to the universities I actually want to go to or all 5 and ok that’s good so I wouldn’t be at a disadvantage applying for application by april?

You can go to as many offer-holder days as you like but if you are short on time maybe prioritise your top two or three.

I’ve got an interview comin up, do you have any tips and advice on what to do and expect ?? Congrats on your offer. A lot of people say bcu interview is very hard, so should I expect very hard questions and scenarios or what???

This is a total myth set up by Unis who can't fill their courses - and therefore they have to lie to you to get you go there. Don't fall for it - its TOTAL BUNKUM. They have enough accomodation for everyone who will get the grades in August. You are not going to be homeless.

When you say bcu is unexpected do you mean by their question style or their scenarios, I thought if I’d be super confident with my basic questions, I’d be able to work through their scenarios. Is it multiple scenarios or only one??

I can’t even remember I was so traumatised by it I forgot all them except that one question 😭which i told you. I think if was two scenario or I gave an example of a scenario and she asked me to expand then asked me another scenario the scenario was quite straight forward, if you refer to NHS values in your head and maybe in your answers ,but i’ve had 2 interviews before that and it wasn’t like that but again apparently they’re harder.

Ok so scenarios are to be expected 💯, and it would be more than one. I’ll stick to the basic questions of why do you want to study, role of radiographer and the 6Cs and their skills. I feel if I’m very confident with the 6Cs I’d be able to expand my answers and I’ll try to refer back to them as much as I can. Thanks for your help 💕

Did you feel like the bcu interviews were harder than the other interviews you had with other unis?

yes, I think it was but maybe because it was far from my first couple of interviews, bcu was a month away so I just waited till it was close, but at the same time it wasn’t like any questions i had prepared myself for.
