Exeter how long?

I applied to Exeter for mfl in October and apart from some info about whether or not I wanted to study a year abroad, I’ve not heard anything back. Lots of people seem to have had offers really quickly from them so it’s stressing me out. (Not mfl students though as there aren’t any others at my school). Would you expect to have heard from them by now?

Well, as I'm sure you realise, the fact that "Lots of people seem to have had offers really" is irrelevant given that these are "Not mfl students".

Generally speaking, it's best to assume that the earliest you should expect to hear back from any university is just after the equal consideration deadline (29th January this year). After all, it's only then that they know the full set of "on-time" applicants they have, are are then in a position to determine which are the best candidates amongst them.

Many people will hear back before then, and if they do then great. But it's best to assume that you won't.
I'm currently in the same situation. I applied before others and have not heard anything back except for a few emails about special carer considerations. I think if you are still waiting, as I too applied around October, it is just to do with courses and departments making their way through so I would try not to worry.

If you do get an offer, let me know! It's my first choice for sociology and criminology if they accept me. 🤞
