Unconditional at Kingston

I got offered an unconditional at kingston university for interior design and was wondering if going to Kingston is actually worth it? I keep seeing so many negative reviews on it
What are your other choices?

Do you need an unconditional offer? Are you expecting to do badly in your exams?

Kingston aren’t terrible but they aren’t one of the SIBD centres of excellence. Those are AUB, Coventry, Solent and Teesside.

My other choices are Portsmouth, Kent, UCA and UAL (ual hasn't replied). I'm expecting my exams to go alright since I'm quite confident in two of my subjects, so even if I don't choose an unconditional I wouldn't mind.
I'm sorry but what does SIBD stand for?

Typo. Sbid is the national body for interior architecture and design.
https://www.sbid.org/careers-and-training/interior-design-courses/ Lists which universities are recognised (the lowest level of approval) and accredited. As well as listing those 4 centres of excellence for the universities that have the highest industry recognition.

Hi,

Congratulations on your offer!

Have you been to an open day? I would really recommend going to an open day or the offer holder day as this is the best way to get a taste of what it would be like to study and live at Kingston, plus you will get to meet the lecturers and students.

You can find more information about the open days on the website Open Days and events - Kingston University London

If you have any questions about the course feel free to ask, one of my housemates studies the course here and I may be able to ask them your questions

Thank you! I was planning to go to the offer holder day to see what it's like.
Is it alright if you could ask your housemate how many people on average is in a class? And how much guidance/support teachers actually give + how often? Thanks!!

Thank you! I was wondering to what you mean by the highest industry recognition? Why wouldn't the competitive performing schools be recognised?

Hi,

Great to hear that you are going thinking of going to the offer holder day! It would be a great opportunity to see the university.

I asked my flatmate and she said that the course size ranges from 50-65. She also said in first year she got 3 tutorials with lecturers a week and you can sign up and choose which lecturer you see. The tutorials are mostly about design development.

I hope this is help
