c metaphase - spindle fibres attach to centromeres of chromosomes, chromosomes align at equator (metaphase plate) of the spindle
d - anaphase - spindle fibres shorten to pull sister chromatids apart, sister chromatids are separated & move to opposite poles
e - telophase - spindle fibres disintegrate as mitosis ends
