Rate = change in distance/change in time -> at start of phase 2000 20 microm
at the end 2500 0 microm
20-0 = 20
2500-2000 = 500
500/60= 8.333
20/8.333 = 2.400 micrometers min ^ -1

c metaphase - spindle fibres attach to centromeres of chromosomes, chromosomes align at equator (metaphase plate) of the spindle
d - anaphase - spindle fibres shorten to pull sister chromatids apart, sister chromatids are separated & move to opposite poles
e - telophase - spindle fibres disintegrate as mitosis ends
