Hello @AB2057_ukDZ

I am glad you are interested in UEA and I am happy to help answer any questions that you may have.

Firstly, UEA is such a welcoming environment. Hence, why I have continued my studies here (I have completed my Bachelors here and now doing my Masters). Most courses have at least a few lectures a week, maybe around 6 or 7 (but depends on the course). These are sometimes 1 hour 50 mins and the seminars are mostly 50 minutes as a top-up to the course. The most important thing, is that the people are extremely supportive. Advisors and dissertation supervisors, aswell as lecturers and teachers are all willing to help. They reply to individual emails very quickly, have office hours (where you can drop in and ask any questions) and often also arrange extra meetings if you require or need further help with concepts of the course. Also, there is some flexibility at times as long as you regularly communicate with your academic advisor. For example, you may be able to do a language course as a module. This is something I was interested in and I was able to do German as a language course.

In terms of prepatory and foundation years, they are mostly to prep you for the course. They are more chilled than the actual course and you will learn some fundamentals that will probably be really useful for your studies.

For interview tips, I recommend being yourself as much as possible and showcasing what is important you. Also, talk about skills or experiences you have done before relevant to the foundation year you are applying to.

If you need any advice or any further help or information then please let me know.

Kind Regards
