Becoming a nutritionists

Hiya, I hope this is the right place to post this?

I'm based in the UK and hope to plan to become a nutritionist. My issue is I'm quite far from accredited universities for nutrition based courses.

My closest one is Plymouth and I don't drive. I'm also a mother so it makes it doubly hard!

I'm thinking of studying a related topic via the open university like chemistry, stem or biochemistry and then moving forward to do a post graduate study in nutrition.

How did fellow nutritionists get where they are?
Are there apprenticeships more readily available in locations (I'm in Devon) or is my best bet the above?

I'm opting to go via the open university to fit around my schedule as a mother. But I'm open to suggestions
I would take a look at some of the courses they have here:
https://www.ion.ac.uk/pages/category/our-courses
They are accredited, flexible and based online so will be more likely to fit around your schedule.
Alternatively, if you are looking at postgraduate study, we do offer a nutrition masters at the University of Sheffield, however this is in person.
Good luck!

Not a nutritionist but hopefully will be studying dietetics soon. Personally i studied Sports and Exercise Nutrition, most of the modules about nutrition were focused on general nutrition which was then was applied to sports but it is very informative in terms of public health.
Hope this helps!
