Can i still get into uni with slightly lower grades than my conditional offer

I'm currently applying to study pharmacy, and want to go to DMU. Say if get slightly lower grades than my conditional offer is there anyway i can still get a place. Does pharmacy at DMU go to clearing and if so is it possible to get accepted with slightly lower grades?

It depends on what happens on results day. We don't know. They may take you, they may not.

I can't remember if it goes in clearing - given its pharmacy, I would think no.

Hey, good luck with your pharmacy application! DMU is a great choice.
If you end up getting slightly lower grades, don’t panic just yet—it really depends on how close you are to the offer and how many spaces they still have. Sometimes universities can still accept you if you miss your offer by a little, especially if you have a strong personal statement or relevant experience.
As for clearing, DMU sometimes has pharmacy places available, but it depends on the year and how many people meet their offers. If it goes into clearing, you might still have a chance to get in with slightly lower grades. I’d recommend calling their admissions team as soon as you get your results to ask about your options.
Stay positive—you’ve got this!
Hope this helps.

DMU may accept you with lower grades - you still need to work your socks off for good grades but its likely you will still be okay of you miss a grade.
Does anyone know if DMU offered pharmacy through clearing in 2024 or 2023 and if so how many places where available?

Hey @KSS_

Hope you are doing well. It is lovely to see your interest in studying with us.

Congratulations on your offer!!! One step closer 😄💫

The entry criteria for Pharmacy are extremely rigid, therefore, if you have received an offer, you should have a good potential to secure a place with us. It is at the discretion of our Pharmacy Academic Team and based on how far off you are with your achieved UCAS points. Therefore, if you do end up with lower grades (finger's crossed you go higher), there is still a potential for you to get accepted. Furthermore, our team may also cross-offer you another suitable course if you do not meet the UCAS points for Pharmacy, so you would not be without an offer from us.

Pharmacy does go through clearing (subject to availability), however, you cannot go for the same course that you applied in the main cycle, thus, Pharmacy would not be an option for you.

I hope this can clarify your offer for you, however, any questions, feel free to message back.

I wish you all the best and I hope you come out with flying grades!!!

Best,
Swarda, De Montfort University Rep 😇
