Hi there,

I'm not sure how accurate these grade calculators really are, but I think they are good for getting a rough idea of how you are doing. If nothing else, it helps to be able to visualize what your strengths are and where you need to improve.

I use GradeGuide, and if it's anything like that, I'd say it's decent enough. Of course, don't rely on it to tell you your exact overall grade, but getting an idea should be enough.

I hope this helps,

Hi there!

I've just input all of my grades in, and they've got the same results as when I work it out by hand. I think the only time it might be wrong is if you put the incorrect weighting of assignments in each module, and also the wrong weighting of how much each year is worth for your overall degree grade.

The best way to check these is to look through module guides for each one in the year, and your Uni website should have information on how your final degree grade is worked out - for example, my 2nd year is worth 25% and 3rd year is worth 75%, some are 50-50 and some just take your top X amount of module results across certain or all years.

Hope this helps!
