St Andrews- accommodation 2nd year onwards: Help!

Hi, my daughter is enjoying St Andrews and is in Uni accommodation for her first year. She will apply for next year too as an insurance though the chances are low. But, I am looking to secure accommodation hopefully not in Dundee! Any suggestions on how I go about securing something? Any help is appreciated.

She needs to register with all the estate agents. Flats and houses come up sporadically, my DD got hers in March. Lots of students get really stressed and try and find accomm very early. The agents won’t advertise properties until the students already in them have given notice. Good idea to chat to fourth years to see if any of them have properties. She needs to keep calling in to the agents and keeping on their radar. Above all she doesn’t need to panic. A few of my DD’s friends got accomm in July, as the students weren’t moving out till late.
