unconditional and conditional offers with same entry requirements?

hi,

i've received an unconditional from GCU for media and communications and a conditional for multimedia journalism at GCU despite them having the same entry requirements? was wondering if this was something to do with course popularity or demands, can't find anything on this, other than the website saying that multimedia journalism is a very competitive course with a high ratio of applications to places. could somebody help? i also don't quality for contextual admissions/minimum requirements if that's any help.

thanks

When you say "despite them having the same entry requirements", I assume you mean the same standard entry requirements - right? If you've received an unconditional offer for Media and Communications then there are no entry requirements (for you).

Do the conditions in your conditional offer for Multimedia Journalism match their entry requirements for that course? Or have they lowered those too?

Assuming you're applying with predicted grades, then my assumption is that they're very keen for students to join their Media and Communications course (perhaps it's less popular?), and are willing for forgo any offer conditions in order to tempt you into joining.
