Home student wanting to do CIE A-levels in nov

Hi everyone,

I’m a UK home student studying 4 stem A-Levels independently, and I’m considering taking my exams with the Cambridge International (CIE) exam board in the November series. I’m not ready for the June exams offered by other boards, so I was wondering if anyone knows whether UK students can take CIE A-Levels in November as private candidates.

Any information on this would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

Its a different syllabus - so you can't just switch exam boards.

Have you asked CIE if there are any UK centres offering their A levels?

I was homeschooled for GCSE and i did some CIE exams as a private candidate. I don't know about the process for A-levels but i would assume you can do the same thing. You'll just have to search around for a centre that is willing to take you in as a private candidate
