Depends which site you're on.
Yes some really work.
You get money but not a lot. Better than nothing if you're desperate though.

In general it's not really worth bothering with imo
As above, often v small payments, lots of delays and you need to do loads before they'll pay out. You'd often make more money just walking about and picking up lose coins.
Some of the survey places have like a membership system, where people who have been there a while and really committed to it or paid a premium get the actual decent surveys and every other user gets the trash for pennies,.
