doubt about accommodation

so im pretty clueless about this, and if anyone can help a newbie out id be grateful <3

im waiting for 4 more offers, but im doubtful about if and how does accommodation work, when do i start searching for it and what if they run out?

It really depends on the unis.

This guide from UCAS is a good guide for it at a high level. If you have any specific questions ask away :smile:

Hello astr0star123,

How accomodation works will usually depend on the university. For example at surrey you must receive an offer at surrey and make the university your firm choice before you can apply. With applications opening in February the closing around July to August (https://www.surrey.ac.uk/accommodation/applying-accommodation/undergraduate-students). I've linked our webpage as an example, the universities that you're considering applying to should have something similar.

Then when I applied online, I ranked my accomodation in terms of preferences then I received an offer and paid an advance rent payment.

You can also read the UCAS webpage here for more information: https://www.ucas.com/money-and-student-life/student-life/accommodation-advice/how-apply-student-accommodation and I would recommended looking on the websites of the universities that you've applied to for information.
