Sutton Trust Summer Schools

I am already a part of the Cambridge Higher Aspirations Scheme studying Spanish and I have applied to other courses focusing on modern languages. I think that that's what I want to study as a degree but I may change my mind to something like politics or international relations. I currently study politics, economics and Spanish as A-levels.

I'm not sure what type of course and which uni to choose when applying to a summer school via the Sutton Trust. I am considering applying to Cambridge but I worry that if In were to do another program there, if I changed my mind it would have been better choosing another uni to show a range. I worry that choosing Cambridge again may reduce my chances of getting into Oxford (if I changed my mind) or another Russel group uni.

Overall, I'm asking whether it's best to again choose a modern languages/Spanish related course, and Cambridge, or to branch out to another course at another uni to make sure I'm not narrowing down my options when it comes to Uni applications. Please help.

My son did the Sutton Trust summer school at Cambridge for Music but applied to Oxford instead. He is now a second year music student there so attending the summer school shouldn't reduce your chances of getting into Oxford or any other uni.
