EPQ question
Hi, what is the best ROW question for someone waning to do medicine at Oxford uni? I want a topic that doesn’t cross over with A level biology course. I want to become a surgeon hopefully so if it can be related it’ll be amazing!! Tysm I just want brief ideas I can build on.

Note that Oxford doesn't do anything special because you've taken an EPQ. It may be better to focus on the three/four A'levels your taking and smash them. It will give you something nice to talk about in the interview though.

You could do a more philosophical/debate type of topic.. have a look into current affairs and what professionals are discussing at the moment, give it a research and do your essay on that. Maybe there's a new controversial type of surgery? You could look into the history/ethics of lobotomies and other banned procedures, lots to explore there and very surgery-related.
Or look into public health education, i.e. what does the general public need to know about their health that they don't? Maybe make a project like a mini health campaign a bit like the 5-a-day campaign?
Perhaps womens health, e.g. evaluating gaps in research into side effects of contraception? Debate on women being underrepresented in medical research x
