Paramedic Science

Good day. I have just applied for the Paramedic Science Undergraduate colurse. How can tell me more about it exept for what it s on the website?
Hey, :wavey:

That is great news that you have applied for our Paramedic Science course at CCCU!

Our paramedic science course will equip you with the knowledge and skills to become an autonomous, effective and safe paramedic.

Our paramedic science course is based at our Medway Campus in Gillingham and takes 3 years to complete.

50% of your time will be spent attending university lectures and seminars learning the skills required from our experienced lecturers. You will also learn in our fantastic simulation suite which is based on a real hospital. The university also arranges for a ambulance to attend the campus so that the students can practice different scenarios and learn how to navigate the inside of an ambulance.

The other 50% of your time will be spent out on placements. The placements are mainly based within Kent, Medway, East Sussex and London. However, you will not be required to travel more than 90 minutes one way from your term-time address. During your placements you will have the required support and each student is assigned a personal academic tutor which they can discuss any difficulties they may be having etc. They will also go to this person for support. The last placement in the final year of the course is elective, students can arrange to work in the UK or abroad in agreement with the course team.

I hope this gives you an overview of the course.

If your application is successful you will be sent an invitation to attend an online interview. The interview will be held on MS teams. I would highly recommend you check out this post where we provide you with generic interview advice, specific healthcare interview advice, and tips on how to manage interview anxiety: https://www.thestudentroom.co.uk/showthread.php?t=7418316

We hope to see you in September!
